Medical Tourism Program

Dar Afia Hospital has received its first patient from Iraq as part of the Medical Tourism Program, which is in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to position the Kingdom as a leading regional hub for advanced healthcare services.
The patient, a 72-year-old man, had suffered a stroke that caused loss of consciousness, in addition to a car accident that resulted in complex fractures in the leg and ribs, lung bleeding, and elevated cardiac enzymes three weeks before he arrived in the Kingdom.
The medical team, led by Dr. Hussein Alnezir, Consultant of Cardiology and Catheterization, and Dr. Mohammed Almutawah, Senior Registrar Orthopedic Surgery, Joints, and Fractures, with the support of specialists in Urology, Gastroenterology, and the CCU Team, successfully performed corrective surgeries for the fractures as well as a cardiac catheterization.
The treatment was a success, and the patient was discharged after just nine days in excellent health, celebrating his 72nd birthday with his family and the medical team.
